PARISTEXAS
THE TASK
PARISTEXAS opened its doors in the spring of 2007 to an entirely new shopping experience in the heart of Copenhagen. PARISTEXAS is an exclusive fashion store focusing on specially selected designer products for men and women. The store’s collection is unique, like a symphony composed of a number of international, trendsetting, underground brands exclusive to PARISTEXAS. The assignment involved creating an identity that breaks with the traditional thinking behind identities and by extension supports a sense of unique, international exclusivity and underground style.

MFA Superhero Typographic Classifications
Superhero Typographic Classifications
MFA Thesis Exhibition, December 2011
The most distinguishing factor of any font is its characters. Hidden beneath these characters, each typeface also has character—its own unique characteristics. However classified this information may seem, when used correctly, typefaces often speak to us more powerfully than the words that are written with them.

Signika
Signika
A bit playfull typeface designed for pedestrian signage.
Signika is a sans-serif with a gentle character, developed for wayfinding, signage, and other media where clarity of information is required. It has a low contrast and tall x-height to improve readability of texts in small sizes as well as in large distances from the reader. The typeface comes with a wide character set supporting most of the Eurpoean languages, small caps, pictograms and arrows. The figures are designed as tabular. Being a typical signage typeface it is inspired by typefaces such as Ronnia, Meta, and Tahoma. All weights from Light to Bold have alternative Negative versions, optimised to solve the effect of juxtaposed positive and negative text setting, where the text in negative tends to look thicker.

KANDINSKY TYPE
I had the idea of experimenting with Kandinsky's color and form theory in 3 dimension. I started with thinking each letter as a 3d canvas to play around with color and form, but also together they would form a type experimentation on Kandinsky. I presented each letter as a color and form composition and tried to relate them with the space as they are intended to be perceived in 3d dimension.

Typographic Wank
This is project is self promotional. I wanted to send out something that truly was about my myself and how I design. I didn't want to send out something that was my C.V designed in a clever way. I wanted to grab someone's attention that had a sense of humor. People take design too seriously, especially when searching for jobs. I basically wanted to say "Hey, I know that your busy and have a team full of great people, but I can get the job done too"

FTRT typeface
The FTRT typeface is the result of a 3-month research and design. It is constituted by capital latin and greek letters, numbers and symbols, in three different weights and a total of 251 different glyphs. It is characterised as a modular typeface, in which all the glyphs have exactly the same height and weight, in order for the typesetting to be easier in a grid environment or for lettering - the letters being either in a landscape or a portrait setting.

by the Fontmaker
A Bolyar was a member of the highest rank of the feudal Bulgaria - second only to the ruling Tsar (king). This font is closely related to its name origin - we believe we've created a royal, majestic and elegant typeface.
