This project started as a test, using the laser cutter at the university to demonstrate its possibilities to the students. And as happy accidents happen, a prototype of the puzzle was produced. Balsa wood modeling panels were used and later colored with walnut wood stain. The typography presented is called PopArt and was born from a logo project I had recently developed and completed. The backside of the puzzle shows an etched membrete with logo, previously created as another experiment.
Represented in the thirty-six piece alphabet puzzle are twenty-six letters, along with the numerals 0-9. The Pop Art Typeface was designed to provide maximum viewing area within its form and shape.
