Ragazza Script isn’t just another display typeface. It honors the greatest handwriting skills but in a different way. Although It doesn't represent any traditional calligraphy style, it is still part of that expressive world.
With more than 1000 glyphs, and taking advantage of the Opentype features, Ragazza is full of personality. When in use, it gives a feel very close to ornamental Copperplate mixed with some kind of modern «high-contrast» typeface. Lots of alternates, swashes and initial capitals are the spine of this face, assuring almost infinite combination possibilities.
The early forms that would eventually lead to what Ragazza is today, began as a college project –around 2006– in the context of the «Hyperfuente» exercise developed during Typography 2, chair E. Longinotti, at the University of Buenos Aires. But that seed would never stop growing. Since then a lot of work had been made to take that initial project to a professional quality level.

Ragazza Script no es una tipografía display más. Esta fuente hace honor a las grandes habilidades caligráficas pero de una forma única. Aunque no representa un estilo caligráfico específico, aún forma parte de ese mundo tan expresivo.
Con más de 1000 glifos, y aprovechando las ventajas del formato Opentype, Ragazza está llena de personalidad. Cuando es puesta en escena se percibe muy cercana a la caligrafía Copperplate más ornamental, mezclada con algún tipo de tipografía moderna de «gran contraste». Gran cantidad de signos alternativos, ornamentos y capitales iniciales constituyen la espina dorsal de esta fuente, asegurando posibilidades de combinación casi infinitas.
Las formas más tempranas que luego evolucionarían en lo que Ragazza es hoy día comenzaron como respuesta a un proyecto universitario –año 2006– en el contexto del ejercicio «Hyperfuente» desarrollado durante Tipografía 2, cátedra Longinotti, en la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Pero esa semilla nunca dejaría de crecer. Desde ese entonces, un arduo trabajo fue necesario para llevar ese proyecto inicial a un nivel de calidad profesional.
